Two Victims Revealed in the Ivy League School Shooting as Law Enforcement Persist in Search for Killer.

Two students who died in the recent violent attack on the university campus were honored at the start of the week – as a manhunt for their shooter carried on following the release by local law enforcement of the only individual of interest in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a second-year scholar from Alabama, was described as “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, as stated by the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which offered condolences for her at a ceremony on Sunday.

Cook was vice-president of Brown’s division of College Republicans of America, the group said. The White House press secretary also posted words of sorrow on social media, saying in part: “It's indescribable. Keeping in mind her loved ones and companions, particularly her mother and father.”

The Second Victim

The other person killed was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, an Uzbek national in his first year of studies at the renowned school, family members said.

His name was officially acknowledged by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. His ambitions were lofty of entering the field of neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a memorial statement.

The Shooting Incident

Nine other people were wounded in the weekend shooting in the school of engineering of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Authorities said on Sunday evening that a 24-year-old male detained in a police operation at a hotel about 17 miles from the campus earlier in the day was set to be freed.

“We have a murderer out there,” said Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

He continued, “Investigations can lead one way, and then you must reassess and head another way, and that’s exactly what has happened over the last approximately one day.”

Ongoing Concerns

Providence’s mayor, Brett Smiley, admitted: “We know that this is likely to cause renewed concern for our public”.

The assailant discharged a weapon inside a room in the engineering facility on over the weekend, discharging in excess of 40 shots from a handgun, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press.

Law enforcement that entered the hotel found two handguns and two loaded 30-round magazines when the individual was arrested, as was reported.

Those Hurt

Of the nine hurt, a single scholar was released from the hospital, stated Christina Paxson, Christina Paxson. Seven others were in grave but unchanging health, and another was critically ill, authorities stated on Sunday.

A private school, a private K-12 school in the city of Durham, said a recent graduate, Kendall Turner, was in the group of seriously hurt victims.

Cook was honored at a religious service in Birmingham on Sunday. A clergyman said, “Her presence was a wonderful, steady, pious glow not only during her upbringing... but at Brown University she was a radiant presence in that particular place as well.”

The US ambassador, Jonathan Henick, said he was “deeply saddened” by the student's death in a statement. “Our profound condolences go out to Mr Umurzokov’s family, friends, and fellow students and lament the passing of his potential.”
