Soccer Analyst Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international break, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, fans and a variety of guests.
In week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
Murs' new album, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.
Football and Parenting Life
Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer side," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under their manager, or the home side responding?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.
My son advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's view: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.
They have got lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of October.
But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's home form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

It is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
