Iranian Forces State Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Counterattacks.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and ongoing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area close to the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is uncertain and the American officials has not commented.
Missile Defenses Activated
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was striking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That US-Israeli operation - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the regime.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
